SHEETS, (Tim I think), I have been following you since you got your car in 2001. I beleive we got our cars at nearly the same time. Mine just took longer to deliver (not alot of cars going to the Northwest. My car was shipped to Oshawa by truck and then shipped...... woah could go on forever.
I just wanted to say that your car is beautiful! Have always watched what you did to it!
I was kind of suprised at how quiet that was though. The tone was excellent. Keep up the good work.

I posted the numbers earlier and since I'm on dial up I haven't been able to see what Mark compiled up for me.
Scott...I was thinking about all that energy as the cars were running up, espescailly a couple of the POS Fords that were runnig butt-loads of nitrous (and still not making that much HP) I know I still got too close, but with that lense I'm not as close as it looks...although I'd still be wearing some BFG, consider that at redline in 4th gear my tires were spinning an equivelant of 134MPH
The Numbers: 328.4RWHP/349.5TQ. I'm happy for a stock motor (345hp SLP Package) with SLP Long tubes and high flow cats. Of course I want more, but for basically stock, that's some good horsepower. The torque...the operator didn't trigger the Dyno capture until just about 3,000rpm. At that point it was already making 330ft-lbs of torque.
The Cobra: That's my friend and while I'm not into Fords, that is a sweet car. It's a 96 in show condition with a 100 shot of nitrous. Off the bottle it made 257RWHP and on the bottle about 358. Before we left I told him we needed to watch the speed limits and drive safe, NO racing...I said I'd follow him and I did. He's pretty savvy and takes his car to the Track when he's not hitting car shows. Maybe some day I'll meet him at the 1320 if he'll go with me to an AutoX event.
Funny story about the Cobra. He was telling me about the brakes or something, I asked him if they were stock and he gave me the lecture about SVT cars, "This is an SVT Cobra, it's basically a race car for the street!"
I said, "So that's why it makes 257HP "
He explained that he could make 358 with Nitrous...I said, "Buy a Chevy and you won't need nitrous "

BTW, was that a little blow-by at higher RPMS?
Thanks, my build number is 1587.
I don't think you're seeing blow by, it's running a little rich and dumping some unburnt fuel. At the end it hits the rev limiter and really dumps some raw fuel out the exhaust. If you watch, it's all black smoke. The other SS that dynoed was running ORPS and a loudmouth and ran even richer...I think? we didn't do wideband O2s so I can't give you the exact A/F ratios. Soon, I will go for a performance tune and shold be able to clean some of that up and even make some more HP I'm also looking at H/C package or possibly a blower... I don't know yet? We'll see.
The tone...yeah, I like it. It definetly sounds high perf, but it's more like classical music than heavy metal It sounds nice on th ehiway and has no drone at all.

Where as my car with long tubes, no cats and loudmouth sounds like metal! lol. I like the sound of mine alot. But when I am home a drive it frequently, I find myself driving the Silverado SS more often, the sound does get annoying just for the casual trip to the store.
The high performance sound it nice, music to the ears. And much more Live-with able.
as you saw I am build 1570, maybe we were born the same day?
