in her new nest in Sweden...I got an email from the buyer over there today. I shipped the car at the end of last month from Norfolk, and he picked it up this weekend.
Shortly after the demise of the SLP board, I lost my job with Penske and the car had to go up on the block...it took several months, but I found a buyer that knew what the car was worth, and I convinced him that it was better than when it left the dealership...and he agrees. Roger is VERY happy with the car, and it looks like it arrived in the same shape that I dropped it off, so there weren't any shipping rashes. Mixed feelings, but I'm crawling out from under the debt and its good to see light at the end of the tunnel (and know its not a train!).
Next project will probably be started in about 12-18 months, after I've done a little research on first gens...

Did you tell the new owner to join the Chirp Third board? It would be good to have someone else from Sweden on here.......maybe you could refer them to SWEDEN SS another member who frequents the board.

Hey, Steve! Its a 57...and its coming along great. The chassis has the suspension hung on it, its sitting on its own wheels (not the ones it will have when its on the road), the Vortec motor is in the chassis (testing fitment, accessories, etc.) and is mated to the M20 4 speed. We picked up a flywheel and a set of Keystone Classics at Carlisle 2 weeks ago, and he's got a Hotcam kit with 1.7 RR, new valvesprings and new keepers to go in the engine when we get the body back on the chassis. His goal is to have it running for next summer. We'll see!
Oh, Opie...everything is going well now...I'm working for Schneider National as a Maintenance Team Leader, and am sticking back the $$$ to do my own little project car; Penske just screwed me and the hiccup in finances made me have to pull the belt one notch tighter than I could and keep the car.
