.... the IT department where I work is going through the dreaded "Reorganization" ............ I still have a job, but at a much reduced salary
At the very least, we are going to have to sell Cindy's SS, and quite possibly the Thames. We are going to do everything in our power to try to keep my SS.
As always, we shall survive this and go forward.
John

IT is so tough now. The only thing that saved me was a voluntary seperation offer that nearly 1/3 of our organization took last fall.

That's aweful. I know how you feel about the reduced pay.Last May I was layed off. When I went back to work my position had changed and I now make the same money I did 6 years ago. Those big SS payments sure are not easy, but I cut back on other things to afford it.

Sorry to hear this John. I wish you all the luck in the world, I know how you feel. At first I figured I would have to sell my SS, but after thinking about it I believe I can keep it, it's going to be a little rough at first, but I'm going to try and keep it.
It's getting rough out there, we have 6 guys here from Taiwan that we are training to take our programming jobs back to Taiwan with them, man that ain't fair.

That sucks OC. Just remember that cars come and go and hopefully you will be able to enjoy another one in the future. I just hope you don't have to cut back too much on the things that really matter.
