I'm having trouble with getting the right stripe size up here to restripe my SS. I have ordered a kit 2 times now, from Phoenix Graphix and the spoiler and T-Top stripes seem larger then my original ones. Could those of you out there please measure your SS's and Z28 spoiler and T-roof stipes width wize and post what you have? I got 12" wide for both mine but they keep sending me 13"+ wide ones. [Confused] They say those are the factory specs but mine measure 12" wide. [Frown] . I'm running out of time to get my car to Super Chevy show up here. I may end up going with the ones I have anyways and replace them again if they are found to be incorrect. Thanks a bunch folks.

I have ordered decals from Brent and he is fantastic. He did mention his SS stripe kit is not the same colour as the original and the set I have from Phoenix is real close. Looks like I'm gonna have to figure some custom mod for this year's show.

I'm assuming that these are just vinyl with adhesive back ?

If you're in a pinch for time, 12" vs. 13" - you could just cut them.

You can get that transfer tape just about anywhere if you need to replace the outer stripe.

The OEM ones have to come from SLP. SLP says they do not continue to stock the product. They still list it on the web site. [Confused] This whole thing this year has been extremly confusing as SLP directed me to Phoenix Graphics and they are supposed to be liscenced reproduction items. Could you please measure the widths of your OE stripes and post your results here? I want to make double sure and have back up from others who have the OE equipment. Thanks

OK, Let me see if I can help.

First a question. What part of the striping package are you replacing? I'm assuming the rear since the front has a variable sized striping design.

The rear stripe on my convertible is a total of 12" exactly. That includes the center (large) stripe @ 11.25" and the outlining pinstripes with spacing @ .375" off each side of the center stripe.

I also assume that all 30th SS have the same width striping, although the top configuration of the car obviously effects the overall length and design of the package.

One more thing, I do have a 12" replacement set from SLP for the trunk lid and spoiler. The set is marked "conv". Don't know what the difference would be vs. CC1 or CC1 delete.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Glenn AKA Hooker

Thanks man. I'm replacing the entire car. Right now I have nothing on the car but I did measure off the stripes before I removed them. The stripes behind the T-Top are 12"wide total including the 3/8" ones on each side of the solid one. Also the rear spoiler and small piece between the spoiler and window were 12" wide too. The kit that Phoenix sends me has the correct hood and nose but the back sections are 13" wide. I can faintly see the outline of the old stripe and for sure these are too wide, but they say they are the ones [Confused] The Phoenix kit is real close to the original colour but not an exact match. I'll keep ya in mind on the SLP ones. Teri I'm sending a PM to ya. I'm also emailing Brent today. Thanks
