Actually we (Michiganders) have these just about every year. The full cycle to maturity is 17 years, but this phenomenon doesn't just happen every 17 years. I heard that this year will be the worst in a number of years. They are very noisy though... Can't sleep with the windows open any more... [Wink]

we are at the "epicenter" here in the DC area.....up to 1.5 million per acre....... [Eek!]
