To use a 70's phrase..."that looks bitchin".

How much did that set you back. I've been trying to decide on a color scheme for mine that would go with the neutral interior and NBM exterior.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

The cost for the seats and door panels came to $2100, which was a reasonable cost to me. Since all seat parts and door panel inserts, less the piping, are real leather, I actually thought it would cost way more than that.

The reason I went this route is because I could not find a replacement stock leather drivers seat bottom cover. They are no longer being made - at least in Graphite. Also, I was quoted $500.00 at the dealer just for the drivers seat upper leather cover (yes, just the cover). Since I didn't want any color matching issues with the remaining stock seat covers, I decided to go with a custom interior.

Although I like the look of the 1997 and up seat covers, I decided to do something that doesn't look aftermarket, or would give the impression of it being a later model seat swap. I also wanted to keep some of the styling cues that the stock seat covers had.

Tom,
I think a good color scheme for your car would be to stay with the stock pattern, but go with dark blue leather inserts with neutral vertical stitching. You could also go with dark blue leather on your door inserts with neutral piping. You might be able to get seat covers made like that by Katzkin for about $800.00. If you do door panel inserts, I would got to a upholstery shop as those are tricky to remove and reinstall. You could also have the "SS" logo embroidered in the head rests. For the colors, I would just replicate what you have on your car now, or you could replace the black wth dark blue stitching.

By the way, the embroidery only cost me a total of $35.00 ($20 for artwork digitizing and $5.00 for each "SS" logo). For the artwork, I scanned an actual "SS" emblem set and imported the image into CorelDraw. From there I created 10% and a 20% reduced images. I used the 20% reduced image on my seats. The stock emblem size was just too big in my opinion.
