Glad to see that Mr. Williamson was able to get in touch with you, Tom. I'm looking forward to seeing that beast myself. He was really very unsure as to whether or not he would be able to qualify! (but I set 'im straight!) I will definitely be heading down to the Camaro Nationals and spending at least 1 day there, (I'll try to coordinate that with Bill Mason) although I don't think it's gonna be in the cards for me to stay over.

A friend of mine recently lost his detector. The cop did not stop for speeding or anything else. Came up to his vehicle and said I know you have a radar detector so hand it over.
What about jammers? I still have the ultimate weapon - a C.B. Radio!
A jammer......don't know about them
One question with the CB.....where do you put the antenna......given all the plastic body panels on our cars??
See you at the Nationals.

Yeah Tim, that would be the long way around the lake for sure. See you there!

No problem on my street with a trailer. If we meet up here I can email you directions. Very easy from the bridge or tunnel.

I'm not staying over Saturday night, but will heading to St. Catherines early both on Saturday and Sunday mornings (it's about an 1.5 hour drive).
PS: If anyone has any pull with the big guy upstairs (no, not you Fbodfather ), please put in a request for nice weather June 11 to 13. So far our weekend weather has left a little bit to be desired.

Thanks for the info on the streets with the trailer. I will be taking the bridge over.
Greg,
We need to make a plan NOW. There was going to be a paragraph in the EMCC news letter telling everyone where to meet and what time. I am up for anywhere just give me a time and directions.

We can meet at the McDonalds. My guess is if I left my house at 7:00, I could possibly be at the bridge at 8:00. What will screw up my drive to the bridge is the construction on I-94 at Telegraph. I may have to drive I-275 north to I-96 and then to the bridge. Unless I take Van Born to Southfield and then to I-94.

You want to all meet there, or the U.S. folks gather there, and then head over to my house.
Dave (red rag top) lives near me, and Rock is still thinking about joining us with his Envoy.
He won't be driving a stick shift for a while yet, till his leg heals.

I think the plan is to meet at the McDonalds just over the bridge for the (U.S. folks)at 8 AM and then head over to your house. Can Rock and Dave meet at your house too? That would be perfect so we can all caravan together.

Can you do us Ontarians a favour and note for us the trouble spots on your way down? I know I'm booked in for Superfest and maybe a couple others might be. We would appreciate any tips or info . Looking forward to meeting you guys at the Nationals.

Right now the only delay I can see that you may have a problem with going to Camaro Superfest is I-94 at Telegraph. The west bound side was moving slower but ok yesterday on my way home.It looks like the east bound side toward Detroit was closed off and you were forced to get off at the Telegraph exit. I'll try to keep you posted as we get closer to Camaro Superfest. How is the 401 and the 402?

Greg there are also delays on I-96 at Outer Drive that I know of. If that way is taken to Superfest by way of M-14.

I only know between here (Kitchener) and London is ok. There is some construction but you guys will not hit it as you will be taking the 403 at Woodstock. As far as the 402 goes, I'm not sure, but If I hear of anything I will post it here. I kinda thought you would be crossing near Windsor and not up by Sarnia? Whatever the case I'll try and get info from the local car club dudes here and post it for yuz.

We won't be on the 402 at all. 401, 403, 406.
There might be some crossing at Port Huron depending on where they are coming from.

I'm wondering if there's anybody in the Livonia/Troy area who is coming to the Camaro Nationals next weekend who might be able to do me a big favour and stop in at D&D Performance in Wixom and pick up a T-56 Synchro Rebuild Kit and a stainless steel 3-4 shift fork. I'd order it in advance and pay for it by credit card. Bringing it over the border saves me the duty and shipping. Let me know if this is feasible and I'll make the arrangements. Thanks!

I was given the link to the travellers information at the Ministry of Transportation. Hope it helps. There is road construction info here. Looks like only one spot has lane restrictions near West Lorne, which is 1/2 west of London. All other points on the maps have no restrictions. Once you pass West Lorne your home free to the OCN.

Maybe those of us from the US may want to exchange money at the Duty Free store before crossing the bridge.

Last year on the way to the Falls, I was doing around 115kph and saw a cop on top of a bridge in London, looking right down at me and I was the only car at that moment. I also went past a couple of OPP's that were hidden in the median. No problems so far.

The Toronto area police forces are a little paranoid right now about speeding and car mod's with the recent rash of ricer street racing, and two deaths over the past few weeks.
So, if anyone in your caravan has a riced out Camaro, you better put it at the back of the line to draw attention away from the rest.
