Ok so I get my car inspected at the original
dealer today. I'm looking at the printouts
and it says under options 60/75 exp 2/24/04
I say what isthis. He says your warranty just
expired. This was my first time to this dealer
and when they ran the VIN it came up under the
original owner if that makes a difference.

What I'm trying to say is has this car had
a GM warranty the whole time I've had it.
Would have been nice to know before I paid
1500 for an aftermarket one that went bankrupt
and I've been paying out of pocket.

if the original owner tells you about the warranty (and has the paper work to boot) and if the warranty terms specify it is transferrable then you can do it. I had a Ford Probe GT that I bought an ex warranty for and the terms stated specifically that you had to send them a letter and a check for $15 within 20 days of purchase (or something like that) and they would transfer it (you also had to provide a bill of sale).
