Has anyone heard of a problem with the water pumps on Trailblazers? The pump went out on Linda's '03 Trailblazer after just 46K miles. That just doesn't right to me.

We've had a 2002 Trailblazer for over 95,xxx miles, including towing and off roading.. No problems except a dead battery.

Thanks everyone. It certainly isn't a common problem as the dealer had a heck of a time even finding the replacement. Looks like it'll be worth his time though....he says the tab will be around $500. Ouch! Posts: 129 | From: Austin, TX, USA | Registered: Jan 2001

Never heard of it being a common problem on trailblazers. A guy at work has a newer one and one of his brake calipers messed up, but they fixed that (root cause was found to be a bad wheel bearing) and that was all.
Then again, it could be Linda's driving. Sustained high speeds in school zones can do a water pump in, last I heard.... D&R

No common problem with waterpumps from my experience. (Service Mgr at Chevy)
