So my sister's one tire got something in it and went falt, and unfortunately drive ont eh falt tire (dumb blonde) so we cant salvage it and use that fix-a-flat stuff. Now...It's a pain in the ass to find a replacement. What tire?
Firehawk SZ50EP 255/50 R16
The local Firestone place quoted her 2 weeks until they can special order it and woudl cost $196!!!!
Tirerack doesnt have them, but www.etires.com does.....for $180 shipped
She spent $140 like 2 months ago for the tires.
Was thinking of just getting 2 of the Fuzion tires for replacement (since they are half the cost!) but really dont want 2 different mismatched tires on there, and i dont think they sell them in that size anyways...
WHAT TO DO???????? ***************************************** Now, I guess its between paying the big bucks for ONE tire, or getting 2 tires for less. Also there will be the issue of rotating tires, so somethign that will perform about equally is ideal. ****************************************** trying to even FIND Fuzion tires! tirerack only has one size!! 205/55WR16
IF ANYONE know s wehre i can find them in the 255/50 R16 size that would be great! Do the local Firestone dealers have these in? Do they even COME in this size?? Oh and I guess any SIMILAR size would do to fit my sister's 16" wheel. 255/50 is what i have on all of them now. ******************************************* OK....well....tirerack has the SZ50EP tires in the 245/50-16 ....now...is this going to make any difference if i just get one tire with this size? While the rest are 255/50-16??? i dunno if that "10mm" or whatever would make a difference or not in driving...I know it woudlnt if it was on the rear, but i dunno about if it will on the front or not. And hopefully it woudlnt need an allignment....

they have them in the 245/50-16 size and i'd have to get 2 ont eh rear for my sis.
cheapest around here is $213 installed
I thought they were A LOT cheaper than that!!!!
The one tire store said that if I can find them cheaper he woudl match the price. If I cant, looks like i'll have to get one replacement tire for my sis Posts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002

One replacement as long as the wear on the other isn't too advanced.
Ideal is 4 new, acceptable is 2 same on same axle.
Your call,,,,,,,
$196.00 not mounted or balanced for one is about twice the $213.00 mounted & balanced for two!!

ah yes, forgot about slp...i'll check there...
the tires are brand new so we can get by with only getting 1 new tire. $196 is still a lot seeing that she paid about $130-140 2-3 months ago Posts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002

And she will never find others since they are no longer produced except in 17" run flats!!

Welp, looks like she is buying the one tire for $196. Forgot I have my winter tires so I might put two of them up front, or maybe all 4 on.... in the meantime since its gonna take 2 weeks to deliver.

Well..i "upgraded" for her when it was time for her to buy tires. the 255 size still fits on the 16's.
Oh...and MORE bad news for her... That wheel is BENT on the inside lip. Not sure if they will be abel to use it or she will have to buy a brand new one. Posts: 2651 | From: Enola (Harrisburg Area), Pennsylvania | Registered: Jan 2002
