Have a friend who just got a '01 Monte SS and asked what chip upgrade if any can be put in to the car. OR is it just a simple task of reprograming the chip.

Thats what I was thinking But thought I would throw it out incase GM slipped something by us.
Now I hear Preditor as a programmer. Are there others........
Is it just as easy to have someone reprogram it /Or just buy one.
Can you use the programer for other vehicles or juse a single one.
Might seem like some foolish questions but havent used one or looked into one and trying to help a friend out. He is going through a divorce now .
