This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro SS 350 Sport Coupe is an early production 1970 model with the 1969 body style. The newer body style appeared in February of 1970, and leftover 1969 models were sold for a while as 1970 models.

As far as I know, it's a truism. The "70 1/2" Camaro was the long nose version most everyone knows as the 2nd Gen Camaro.

I can't remember the reason for the delay of the new body style, but there were some late 69s with 70 VINs up until January of 1970, I do believe.

I think there was a big UAW strike against GM thus the delay in the 2nd gen.....
