It was great to see many of the SSOA board members at the Nationals - Brian, Greg, Bob, Harry, Tom, Dave, & Elie, to name a few. I was only able to stay on Saturday for the show & cruise. Special thanks to the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club for sharing their tent with me.

Nice to see you John! Happy Anniversary to you and Karen.
Hope you made it back from the cruise. After the wrong turn, I took the lead and then we lost radio contact with a few cars. We did catch the main group though!

Thanks, Brian. It was great seeing you & Mary again, and glad you got back home safely.
Funny thing on the cruise. I was heading back to the QEW on Mississauga St. for the drive home, and got stopped at a traffic light by a motorcycle cop. He was holding me up at the intersection to allow the first group of Camaros, on the cruise, to go by . They must have gone straight through Niagara-on-the-Lake and circled around to come back south across Mississauga St., going towards St. Catherines. I'm not sure how they did that. Great to meet up with everybody! Always a privelege to meet up for the first time with the people with whom we've been communicating on this board and saying hi again to some old friends we originally hooked up with in B.G.! Always a pleasure to chew the fat with Harry, Hawkeye and John (happy anniversary to you and Karen - I didn't know!), especially if B.G. might not be in some peoples' schedules this year.) I would've hung around for the cruise, but my wife had finished work and we had a pre-arranged "rendez-vous" at our cottage. Made it up here to Lake Simcoe in only 1.5 hrs.from St.Catharines! Once again - a huge thank you to Hawkeye for bringing my tranny rebuild parts to the event (courtesy of his bro!) I'll keep y'all up yo date on the results!

I didn't get to see your ride John I was nearly 2 hours in judging lineup and had to redetail the car after BBQ grease got on it from the cooking they had going . But I did get to check out Greg's Brickyard Camaro as he was in front of me in the line! Saweet! Nice to meet you Greg and also I got my Superfest registration hand delivered by Barry. Can''t wait til July now! Nice to meet Ellie and hope to chat with you again! Thanks to all our members from Kitchener/Waterloo kwfbody . We had 19 cars in total and took home the club participation! Hope to see the rest of you at Superfest in 3 weeks!

Thanks for the pictures John. If you don't mind I would like to host them on the EMCC web site since my digital camera "locked up" and I only was able to get a few pictures. Good to see you again! The BBQ smoke sure made a huge mess on our cars. I wonder if the judges gave us extra points for the grease coating we had? Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Sorry I missed you too. Ah, the BBQ grease shower. It was too bad the cars got dirtier in the classification lane than they did on the drive to the show. I'm sure the BBQ will be relocated next year.
Here's a link to a pic of your car with Greg's in the classification lane.

That BBQ food was good butI can't believe the amount of mess it did to our cars. That must be Gino's fault! Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Good thing the Meguires guy was right there! Talk about a strategic spot to vend from! Maybe he was the one who set the BBQ up there in the first place! LOL. I did buy the cloth he had. And was great to get a free bottle of quick detailer in the goody bag. That stuff took care of all the grease lickty split!

I have uploaded my pics that are worthy to share. They are in my Webshots album. There are pics of the show and cruise to Seaway mall and the Saturday Cruise. Sorry there aren't more but I took about 24 pics on my slide film. There were 2 50th Vettes at the mall cruise. Sunday was not a great pic taking day and I was real busy with the diecast cars. I'm sure between everyone we got the entire show covered. Big thanks to our club member OJ for some awesome shots on the cruise! He came down to join us even though his Fbody is not a Camaro. Enjoy.
