After 3 years it is finally done! I took a ton of foot work but I did it! This is the alley that runs east and west behind our house. There is only 4 houses that have an access to the alley from a garage/driveway ect. I had been talking to the city trying to get them to consider paving the alley for the last 3 years, They continued to tell me how the neighbors to the west of me have been trying to get the alley paved for the last 15 or so years!! To make a real long story short the City needed $1,250 to get the ball rolling to get the alley paved. After we (the neighbors) came up with the cash, the city would do all the maintenance from then on. Well, no one wanted to help pay to get it paved, with only 4 of us that have access and only 3 of use that use it, it was hard to get anyone to spend a dollar…. So.. in the end It was me and 2 other neighbors that were willing to foot the bill. One that is right next door to me and one that doesn’t even have access to the alley.. They each paid $275 and I paid $700! So needless to say Bill’s alley is now done, I am so happy! The first few pics are taken from my Drive way west, last one is of my garage, you can see how the alley is like a dead end in this pic, it is not a threw alley. My driveway is now Gravel and will be new Concrete/brick as soon as I can get the cash to get it done. I wanted to get my drive way done first but I needed to see the height of the alley when it was done. So phase 1 is done, I am sooooo happy!
PS Yes there will be a sign at the end of the alley in a few weeks that says “Bill’s Alley”

Ya the SS tire Stripes will be added after it cures a little more. Also wanted to add, I didnt want it to be paved up to the garage, I want brick/concrete. The city would have paved up to the door if you want but you have to do all the prep work....
