Author Topic: Can you take out the stock grille and still be able to put it back? Travisnd1 2nd Gear Member # 1982 posted                       thinking of changing grills, but I want to be able to use my stock one again if need be. Just remove the front bumper cover, and carefully remove the clips. That way you can reinstall it later without any damaged parts. I loosed the bottom of the bumper cover and reached in with a screwdriver and loosened the clips. No damage and everything is able to go back to stock if desired. -------------------- Mark H. Although it really didn't matter, the dealer had drilled it for the license plate bracket. Around here, the only SLP option CARR Chevrolet ordered on their SS's was the SS Grille ($249) and them proceeded to ruin it by riveting the license plate bracket to it! Dumbasses! What on earth were they thinking?
