FYI, all vehicles, boats, trains, planes, and automobiles, even spaceships, are labled from the left to right(port to starboard) as one sits or stands within or on the vehicle facing the front. The front is usually the pointy end!

that's my assumption, I guess the facia stripes come in pairs, one for upper and one for lower.

Well, I had a small incident last night and I need to replace that stripe. I just ordered them from SDPC, so hopefully they will be here when I get back from my honeymoon. I took the car today to a local body shop guy, and he said for $100 he would replace them as long as I supply the stripe. Sounds reasonable to me!

You got that right. Here's a price update with new list prices. Prices in brackets are the old price from gauSSian's earlier post. It's weird, however, the front bumper stripes have one part number, so I'm GUESSING that since they're mirror images of each other, all you do is turn it upside down to get the curve of the stripe to go the right way. Normally, unless it's a "kit", GM sells you one stripe at a time. So these prices must be each.
10307873-Package quantity lists them as "1". So if you want just that ONE stripe, it'll set you back (assuming 6% tax)- $91.18
Same part from GMpartsdirect.com, shipping included - $60.90, or 121.80 for two to do both sides. 2/3 the list price.
Assuming 6% taxes, to buy a whole car's worth at list price from the dealer it will cost you a total of: Convertible- $1243.28 Coupe- $1209.79
Buying it from GMpartsdirect.com, shipping included. Total: Convertible- $831.84-- you save 411.44 over list. Coupe- $809.48 -- you save 400.31 over list.
There's the research. Free of charge. Your choice- same parts, major savings at gmpartsdirect.com.

Knowing how GM parts works, I'm betting you get one. Expect one, so if you do get two, it feels better than the other way around! Posts: 577 | From: Aiken, SC | Registered: May 2002

What if you're sitting in a RH drive car? Wouldn't the passenger side then be the LH side?

Very Bonus!!! It's just that it showed one per package, which usually means one stripe. But it also could mean one pair! GM is weird sometimes. But that's a great deal, actually! I'd buy another, as those see the brunt of the duty. Or at least some lower ones.
