You gotta be kiddin' me! How hard is it to avoid a stationary object...especially a nice one parked out in the boonies. And let me guess, the jerk didn't leave any insurance info Posts: 1143 | From: Portland, OR | Registered: Nov 2001

Here is a pic I snapped. Notice, some of those are chips, not marks.
Second time I have had the front hit. Sucks if they have to replace the front cuz they may have to replace the grill if it breaks when coming out of the front.
It was a friend who did it, someone walking across the parking lot distracted him. I was all pumped to polish her tonight too

aw man that's worse if it was a friend....esp if it was a friend who just doesn't understand the obsession we have for our cars...
My suggestion??? Let Mr. Hawkeye and Mr. 2002Z4CSS look at it and then advise you what to do......there's a couple of years experience right there.....

Not much you can do about it now. My SS was less than a year old when a lady in a mini van backed into my rear quater panel ... had to replace the panel, bumber cover and rear fascia.
You drive you car -- you have to expect things to happen out in the world. Beside, it could've been much worse.

After looking at your pictures, here is what I would do. Remove the SS grille. It should come out with no problem since it is just held in with push pins. Then I would remove the front fascia and the parking lights and take the fascia to a body shop to be repainted. None of this is very difficult to do and if you are not sure how to do it, check SLP's web site for the detailed install information on the SLP grille since I believe they cover the fascia removal (for those that want to remove the old grille that way). Good luck and sorry to hear about what happened

I had a girl in a new Audi back into my Formula the other day with me standing there. She drove off like nothing had happened. No damage to my bumper but I was like WTF. She couldn't even ask if everything was ok.

That stinks...especially just days before Camaro Superfest. I was pulling the riding mower into the pole barn on Saturday night and I bumped the front bumper of my son's Berlinetta and made a paint chip. He too is trying to get his car ready for Camaro Superfest. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002
