No we did not cancel the track rental. What we did cancel was the 1st EMCC meeting of the month which was last Monday. Too tired from CSF for a club meeting. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Well, tonight is the night. My son is going to bring the 1979 Berlinetta. Hopefully we solved one of the fuel problems that car had before with a 120 gallon per hour Carter mechanicle fuel pump. I just rejetted the carb last night too so it it time to see it I went in the right direction. Remember that you do not need to be a EMCC member to run tonights event. Just an enthusiasts that wants to have an evening of fun! Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002

Well a few of us showed up and had a great time. The club racing division money is all used up due to a lack of cars that showed up. I hope we can continue to do this next month and every month. Bob lost his SS to Jody and became a spectator. Frank was running in the 12's as usual and even let me and Kathy drive his SS down the track. Ryan still has a fuel starvation problem after the 1/8 mile even after we installed a 120 gallon per hour Carter fuel pump. Looks like we need to install an electric fuel pump. He also has a mystery oil leak that seems to be comming from the front of the engine. Only will leak running the 1/4 mile. New crankshaft seal, oil pan and gasket. Strange and I can't find the source. His battery was also dead. He managed to run a 13.0 at only 97 mph with a 1.81 60' time with that fuel problem. It should have a lot more! Here are a few pictures from last nights event.

Greg what engine is this? I had a battle with an oil leak before I came down. We ended up replacing the crank seal, opti drive seal, water pump drive seal, and opti seal. Now its dry as a bones. Hope that helps Glad to see you had fun!

The engine is his 454.I think it has something to do with high engine RPM and the lack of manifold vacuum to the PCV on hard acceleration. Maybe we need to install a breather hose from the left valve cover breather to the air cleaner base?

We had a good time but my son did some big time complaining about his car. He just does not realize there are always bugs to work out of a modified car. Posts: 5682 | From: Dearborn,Mi. | Registered: Feb 2002
