ok my dad's a harley guy... and everytime i ride with him, he and all the other people on bikes do this wave thing to each other that i thought was kinda neat. just a sign to say "hey, fellow biker"... so why don't we do something like that? nobody in new orleans does it. they ignore you. i hate that. the only time i get to stick my arm out and wave is if i actually know the person. now i'm not talking like a big ol' flailin your arm around wave... just a poke your hand out as a signal to a fellow f-bod person. i think i'm just gonna wave to everybody and if they don't like it, tough! [Smile] anybody with me?

If I was on another bike I would. I wonder, I pass other T/A's all the time, give them a look. Should we give "the wave" to each other? [Confused]

Around here when I do drive my SS I wave and get the wave from fellow Camaro SS owners. And on occasion I get the same from WS6's. As for Firehawk guys/gals? Their stuck up, they only wave to Ferrari People. DOH!!!

Seriously though if I wave 90% of the time I get a wave back.

I wave to all other fbodies and rarely get a wave back.

Fellow SS owners wave back the most, which is no surprise. I'd say 3 out of 4 return the wave. I've noticed very few women return the wave.

I don't see enough 'hawks to know if they are stuck up or not, but the only time I've gotten a wave back from the many WS6's I see around here are the Collector's Edition TA's.

There's a guy around here with an awesome looking 'cuda that always throws a rev (sounds awesome), which I quickly return.

I've never had a 'vette owner wave.

I wave or beep all the time.
You can tell the ethuisests from the
people who just happened to buy a camaro.
The other day I saw another younger guy in
a black SS like mine. I beeped so he'd
look and he just looked over like, what
so you want? I don't how you can buy one of
these and not be a fan but I guess it happens.
Other times you can pull over and talk for hours
with someone who shares the same excitement about
these.

I try to wave at other F-bodies if I have my window open. I just recently moved to the country and everyone that drives past the house going down the road waves. I did not see that in the city! [Cool]

We ALWAYS wave to Camaro SS owners...we seldom get a wave in return. We were talking the other day about the chances of SS/WS6 owners not knowing that they were driving a piece of history [Confused] . We look and smile at WS6 owners...in fact, we look at all F-bodies...

We waved at a Mustang Convertible today.. as we blew by him... [Big Grin]

I try to always wave at otherF-bodies. I mostly get blank stares back....sigh.

Alice always waves at other Vettes when she is driving her Vette. She has noticed that more Vettes in our part of town are returning the wave after several years of her doing it. She says she get more waves from C4 and older generations of Vettes than from C5 drivers.

I've always considered the wave to be a Vett. thing. However anytime a girl waves I always wave back and then do a U turn. [Big Grin]

Actually anytime I see a girl looking my way I turn around to see who she's looking at!! [Confused]

I got a thumbs up from a Z06 guy the
other day. Him first. I was shocked.
Most Vette guys I see are snobs. I don't
even compliment them on their car cause
most don't return it.
I hate to tell them what I told the lady at
the dealer the other day. The only way
I'd take a Vette is if she traded my a new
one straight up, even deal on my 99 and even
then I'd still be unsure.

I wave at almost every F body I see. Sometimes I get a wave back. Sometimes they don't even notice me (I look for other F bodies as I'm driving). A lot of the time, if they don't wave back by the time they're parallel to me, I have to look away to watch the road ahead and may miss a late wave. The wave is free and I enjoy doing it even if they don't see me or don't wave back. [Big Grin]
I've gotten a first wave from a sharp looking Vette and I gave a thumbs up to a 1970 or so Nova SS yesterday and got one back.
