When I paid my 40$ for 2 years of membership one of the things that was on there was the slp verification sheet. What's going on with it and when will you be shipping them out? This was one of the main reasons that I joined was that sheet. After seeing the board go to hell, it's just a form for everyone to bitch at this and that. No one even talks about the car much anyone and when people have tec. ? no one really answers them anymore, it's like how gives a crap?? If we are not getting these sheets please let us know!! I think I want a refund on my dues.

Chris, This is a family-viewed board.. so watch your french, please.
I didn't join SSOA just because of Letter of Authenticity that you were asking.
What you seem not to understand is that it is OUT OF SSOA DIRECTOR hand. SLP are the people who are responsibility for that. When they went to their computer and start inputting your VIN, they found out that those info was corrupted.
And SLP Apologized by offering SSOA member 15% discount to SLP Performance Parts which expried June 15th, 2000.
SSOA Director met with SLP faculty during SLP weekend to go over the term and as of now, the news is that SLP are "inputting" those database back into their computer and make sure it is peramently storaged. As soon as it is all done, SLP will submit all Letter of Authenticity and then you will finally get it. There was NO promise on when you would recieve it. I am under the impress it would be "ASAP".
So it is your call if you want to get your refund. You decide. But word to the wise "Be patient and you will be rewarded". I always have a saying "Patience BUILD charactors!".
I hope this answer was helpful? Thank you!

Some 96/97 info has been released by SLP. Teri is in the process of getting it into Letter Format. Emails and notifications will be sent out soon. You can email her for a firmer time line.
On a unrelated note, please change you profile as soon as possible.

Ken,
Since when did you become a moderator? I think it's THEIR job to decide what is and isn't appropriate language here.
"I didn't join SSOA just because of Letter of Authenticity that you were asking."
He didn't ask you why you joined nor do I think he cares. He has a legitimate concern and posted questions so he could get some answers not a chiding for making the inquiry.

That right, Ken. He DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. You seem to be under the impression that people are automatically supposed to know this stuff. Well, they don't. Just because you and I were here to read the explanations doesn't mean that EVERY SSOA member was. If the board had taken my recommendation and the recommendation of others and taken ten minutes to add a web page explaining the "letter of authenticity" situation this post would have been unnecessary.
P.S.- I really don't understand the attitudes of some of the "zealots" on this message board that are so quick to jump on someone if they DARE have anything negative to say about the SSOA or SLP. Nothing and no one is perfect and trying to stifle criticisms doesn't alter the reality of a situation or make things better. Certainly castigating a paid member for even questioning something can't possibly be "helpful."

I'm working on the Letters of Authentication. After Dave is back from Italy, and I am back from IndY2K, we will be going full speed ahead on the VIN verifications. The first batch of information was in a format that my computer couldn't read so Carm & Dave are working on getting the info into a more universal format. Hang tight and keep asking questions if you have any. Anyone is welcome to email me anytime and I'll do my best to help out and answer your questions.

Get him Xtrooper. Tell him he needs a class or two in grammar and spelling too.
Chris, I'm with you. If they ever get this letter thing straigtened I'll probably join too. Question though - Are the Members Only Area and performance parts discounts that go along with your membership worth it?

I have 400 letters printed and sitting in their mylar sleeves waiting for a couple of packet items to be shipped to me. As soon as they come in, I'll stuff the packets and send everything out. I'm trying to get them to everyone before the SLP event.
