I plan on ordering a 2001 SLP Camaro SS. I've been to the dealer for the quote, but they were very limited in the amount of info they had on the 2001 model. I called SLP (since I live here in Michigan), and they listed new options (10-spoke wheel, 1LE suspension, 'Racing Tires', and the SLP front grille) as well as the fact that they were discontinuing the Syntec package. My question to you guys is: What else do I need to know about the 2001? What happened to the rumor that the LS6 from the 'vette Z06 was going into the 2001 Camaro?
Any information at all would be appreciated. I'm getting the loan in a couple weeks, and I plan on ordering this bad boy in the middle of August (think positive thoughts). Thanks!

It took a bit over 3 months for me to get mine.. Probably due to them closing the factory for a few weeks.. However, it is worth the wait.. Especially for people like me coming from a foreign 4-banger I added my exhaust package, and grille, and a few other assorted options..

If you are willing to travel a little, there is a dealer in Acworth, GA. Days Chevrolet, currently has five SLP SS Camaro's all loaded with most of the SLP options you can normally order, if I did have a 2000SS already, they have black on black loaded. Maybe worth a call if you are interested. Mike Savoie in Troy has about a dozen in stock-all colors and options. Some are base and some are loaded. If you see one that's close to what you want and its missing some Y2Y options, our office is right across the street and we can add what ever you want.
