Does any one know how to defeat/bypass the auto headlamp feature that works when the parking brake is disengaged? If not whats the chances the General will refund me the cost of the Headlight switch?...

Pry the dash up. There are some plastic velcro things holding it down. There is a sensor near the red L.E.D. I've heard you can pull the sensor out and put a resistor in there. I'm not sure what size. Hope this helps!

I hope this isnt to late !!?!! There is no need in cutting any wires or tearing anything up when deleteing the DTRL`s.
{{Simple}}
Remove Face Plate Around Radio Remove Radio Look straight back towards the firewall and a little to your right there will be a box about the size of a pack of smokes. It has a white label on it that says Made in Canada* It has two plugs running into the bottom of it. It is secured much like your pager belt clip,just lift it up from the bottom and it should slide right out.
Now you can see both plugs clearly ! Unplug the plug that has the *blue* wire in it,then just let the plug hang free inside the dash.
Replace everything in reverse and your all set....No more DTRL`s !! Everything else will work just fine.
