So I joined the SSOA... and sent off my money. Finally got my packet and the one thing I REALLY wanted is not in there.. the LofA (Letter of Authenticity) with the build #s. Id really like to get that beauty plate for the engine bay with the build #s on it but cant until I get that LofA.
The SSOA letter said that SLPs database is being rebuilt, then Ill get my LofA. Anyone have any idea how long I should be looking at before I get this? How long have you been waiting if youre in the same boat?
Thanks.

Same boat, joined in may, but with SLP going through some changes, i understand the problem... Hell,..I ordered my portfoilo(sp) from SLP back in april and just got my birth cert. about a month ago. You should be able to call SLP with your vin# and get your build # if thats all you need to get the engine plaque. The paper is nice, but i can wait.

Still waiting myself but I know Teri is working on it. I am sure she will post something when SLP has their system reconfigurated and the Lofa's are mailed. Hang in there all. Posts: 2841 | From: Westland, MI | Registered: Apr 2003

I'm still giving SLP some breathing room until they're ready.

I tried to get one of the engine plaques for my '99 SS, but I couldnt use it.
By the way, GREAT FRC's! Did you do them?
Ed
Thanks, I had the FRC's and Lid custom done. The Lid is the SLP Lid. The guy who does the fuel rail covers for afterthoughtsauto, did mine, Bryan. I go through him directly, he does really good stuff.

Is any progress being made in getting the LofAs? Are we still going to get them? Seems like its been quite some time since anyone mentioned anything about them. Posts: 88 | From: PA | Registered: Aug 2003

Any word on how its coming along, or IF its coming along? This is one of the main reasons I sent in my money to join the SSOA back in July. Is there any indication at all as to how much longer it is going to be? Sorry to keep asking, but it seems like its been quite a wait.

I have received word from SLP that they will be able to do our last half of 2003 batch of member verifications after they are back from their Holiday break.
