Yes, that's my excuse too. 13.83 stock, 13.93 w/ lid, K&N, 160 T-stat and HPP3 (disclaimer: w/ GTech, but avg of 3 runs). I know my car pulls harder w/ the mods, but I wasn't launching well either time........ worse the 2nd time.

I have a 2001 Ws6 A4 and I have not run a 1/4 mile track yet. I have run a 1/8 mile track and my times are:
1.94 60'
8.38 e.t.
86.211 mph
This was done on the stock F1's and the only mods are G2 lid and a cut out. What do you think?
What kind of 1/4 mile times do you think I would run?
Thanks

New bests for me:

13.313 @ 106.365 / 2.102 60' on KD's
13.094 @ 107.539 / 2.027 60' on BFG DR's

Only got 2 runs in on the DR's before the clutch had enough ... lot's of room for improvement in the 60' time yet.

I'm "hooked" on DR's now. Gotta get my own. [Smile]

OK, here's a good base line for you guys.
97 SS convertible, stock, stock, stock. Got that??
Weight, 3621/w full tank. 3816/w me, you figure it out. 52,000+ miles.
92 degrees, 87% humidity, sea level.
Best ET:14.73, Speed:96.41, 60':2.1-2.2's
Dyno'ed: RWHP 250@4700rpm, torque 290@3000-4100rpm.
This was on Kumho ECSTRA Supra 712's, 245/50-16's at 22psi.
Only SS performance option was the CAT back exhaust.
So if you knock off a couple of tenths for bad driving you should be pretty close to what a stock LT1 does.

14.365 @ 99mph

Most guys were running about .1s slower than usual due to the humidity (~75% @ 70*F).

I think I'll be able to wrench a 14.2 out of her on a good day. [Wink]

I ran 13.7's that day. On a prepped track with decent weather and possibly DR's, you'll be in the 12's.

One can only speculate.....

I wish i had made it to the track with my turbo setup prior to selling it. 550+/- hp and 600+/- tq... Would have been fun.
I'm just waiting now for the NEXT BIG THING to come along but until then i'll likely hit the sauce and see what it will do.
Later,
Dr. STEW

By the way, I think i had enough for 10's??? who knows? Its all in bench race heaven now

I have a 96 Z28 vert. with a 383 stroker and Procharger blower. My best run was with a BEAT clutch 11.56 @ 123.30 at Cecil County in Maryland. I have not been able to get it running right since I put a Spec Stage 3 clutch, DD subframe connectors, boxed lowers, airbags, skinnies, and custom front mount install. Hoping to go hi tens with this combo, then spray it. Then again, I am in school, and broke now! Unfortunately I have even had 2 consider selling it.

Everyone knows that verts are the heaviest cars out there and I just wanted to get a feel for what we are all running at the track. We have a big disadvantage due to our weight, but there are a few of us out there that tend to show that verts aren't as slow as many may think....like George Baxter. [Eek!] Low 9 seconds.....what the hell is that all about? [Big Grin]

So, lets see em....what's your best 1/4 mile and MPH?

My best weighing in at 4,300 lbs NA was:

12.782 @ 103.91

But this will soon change once I get back out on the track since I've lightened the load significantly and installed the 150HP N2O. [Wink]
