What kind of head units are the best and what is the max depth that can be used?

Can't help you with aftermarket ... I replaced my cassette head with a factory CD head from Radios and More

if you are looking for aftermarket, i have a few suggestions, just ask.

otherwise, i have a stock cd for sale if you want it. lemme know
