Hello everyone. I posted this on the ls1.com forum but no one has an answer! Maybe this is the right place to ask... Here it is:

I have confirmed with Erock (on ls1.com forum) that genuine Z06 rims fit on his WS6 (18x10.5" rear w/ 295mm wide tires) with slight modification to the inner fender well. I, however, have a convertible... and I am wondering if it has less room for wider wheels. I have seen on a few wheel sites that convertibles are excluded from which cars the wheels fit on.
Anyone know for sure? Anyone have 10.5" wide or wider rear wheels on their convertible, without any modification besides sledgehammer & inner fender well?

Thanks,
-kevin fanciulli

I think convertibles are the same as the hardtops.

I'm running 315's on 17"x11" wheels. They fit ok after some hammering on the inner fender well. I drove it for a while but eventually the lip of the fender cut the tire sidewalls while turning the corner on a very nasty off camber intersection.

The body shop rolled the lip and flared the fenders at the same time. Just a little bit, maybe a 3/4" wider. Very subtle. Bonus: it was enough to let me lower the car by about 1 1/2".
