Hey guys, Im looking for a good price on a 2seat tonneau cover. If you know of any new or used one (in good condition) let me know. Thanks a lot. Im also needing to improve my sound quality! I have 2 10" MTX subs in my trunk right now, the outside rattle is very excessive, and the interior sound is only decent. With the top down however it sounds like a thump hitting, like a rock slide is happening inside my trunk. I feel nothing and hear little. Is there a way to reduce the rattle, and make it sound better in there? Especially with top down? Im thinking about taking my rear seats out and just mkaing it a 2seater, putitng the subs in a custom box back there. Let me know what you guys thinks, thanks a lot!

hey matt...

i happen to have a tonneau that i want to get rid of. mine is mystic teal with the head-rest parts done in carbon fiber. check out my web page for some pics of it on the car.

the only unfortunate part is that we're not so close to each other...

Have you removed the plastic filler / separator panel between the top well and the trunk? If not, removing this should let more bass into the passenger compartment. However, as is the case w/ most trunk sub-boxes, 80% of the energy goes into shaking / rattling the car body instead of reaching your ears and shaking your body.

You may want to take a look at the sub-box I built (check my home-page or email me for better pics and more info). It pumps bass energy directly into the passenger comparment, even with the top down. I also have a tonneau, and with it on I hardly notice any difference in bass. Of couse, it does get louder when the top goes up, but I EQ'd my system for good sound w/ the top down, and notch-down the lowest octave when the top goes up.
