Can someone tell me why the bolt-on SLP SFC's won't fit a convertible? What exactly is it that gets in the way?

Don't know but is there any reason you don't want to use the KBDD or BRM connectors?

Converts have extra chassis stiffening from the factory, but it's not enough. They're still the most flexible f-bodies and they need sfcs more than anyone.
But, the factory stiffeners can get in the way of some sfcs. You need ones designed to fit converts.

Basically the extra stiffening is what gets in the way. The extra stiffening is, or at least looks, like doubled up floorpan. I have never tried to install a brand of SFC that claims it won't fit on the convertibles but they say that for a reason. The SFC's are definitely worth the money, I say get the ones that fit right.
