I was having a discussion on another board regarding bolt-on SFC's for convertibles and HTWLSS recommended that I ask you about your installation. I know that nobody currently makes bolt-ons for convertibles, but she said that you had a set of KBDD's and converted them to bolt-ons.
I am very interested in what was involved in converting the KBDD's to bolt on. Is this something that is relatively easy to do. Any details would be appreciated. I really want sub frames connectors, but I am very concerned about welding anything on the car.
Thanks

I'm not sure I would trust bolt-on SFCs. Eventually the bolts will start to allow movement between the car and the SFC which then defeats the purpose. Welds are much more solid than bolts. Besides, once the are on, you won't want to take them off. So what advantage do the bolt-on types provide?

Hmmmmmmm, I know I already responded in length to this post a day or two ago!?! WTF???
Unfortunatly, I didnt take any pics yet, but what I did was made them attatch the same as the SLP coupe ones. You have to see a set of those to understand. I made bolt-plates that slip up into the body, and then welded large 1/4 thick steel plates at the front end and just bolted them up into place. They work great. I just wish somebody made a set, especially SLP, because I like their quality of parts. Oh well, maybe HTWLSS can find my other post back to you!
