I feel compelled to add my voice to the chorus of folks that are pleased with Don's SFC's. Had them installed while at Bowling Green and they made a significant improvement in ride quality. So much so that my wife even commented on the difference! I couldn't be more pleased with these and am amazed that Don took the time to install them personally. If you haven't yet added this mod to your list of things to get you should definitely do so. Thanks Don!

Going Pubilc I think I'll have to get a divorce before that can happen. My wife thought I washed my car all weekend. She really has no understanding why it was so important for me to go to Bowling Green.
I feel like I made true friends while transforming their cars.

When the passenger notices a difference there truely is an improvement.
This may come as a shock to everyone but I have never ridden in a 4th Gen Vert before or after installing my SFC's. So you won't mind if I take your word for it.
I am pleased that all of you have placed your confidence in me and the products I make. Thanks Don

Let's do it again next weekend! I'm envious of those going to SLP day. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we are going to a car show but I can't say I'm really looking forward to it. It doesn't come close to the fbod group who was so much fun! I hope we'll get to see you & Mr. Cy at some shows in Michigan. Posts: 13 | From: Southgate,MI | Registered: Sep 2003

Well I'm already up for the next event sadly I feel that I may actually have a real job. I been offered a position at a Local Chevy Dealer. That should get me closer to my first Y-Body
I have to take a car related job until DGF hits it big. Oh by the way fabrication of another run will begin tomorrow.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will a SLP Bilstein-Eibach equipped Firehawk suffer on parking lot speed bumps with these installed? My car is at least 1" lower than any other F-body I've ever seen. SLP always insisted that the 'verts with Bilsteins were not "lowered" but I know that to be a 'white lie', because I've measured the differences, front and rear. I need someone to verify the car will not be 'banging the curbs' as it is daily driven. Thanks

There are several cars with these on them with the Bilstein suspension. If my SFC's hit or rub any speed bump you will have damaged something else beyond it's useful purpose. There is actually more clearance on the Verts. I have a picture I can email you to show you they are a good 2" above the lowest part of the car. They will definitely make the car stiffer which may help negotiate speed bumps easier.

Black Robe, ...I have an '02 SS vert WITH Bilstein suspension (and they DO sit lower). I installed Don's subframe connectors, and they have been fine, ...no clearance issues at all. As per Don's post (below) there are other undercarriage parts (ie. Y-pipe) that hang much lower than the SFC's.

Thanks for your help RagSS. I can see a set of these in my future now!
For Don: Can you email that picture AND a quote for red ones? Have you shipped to B.C. Canada yet?

I got mine in the other day (white ones), and all I can say is WOW... They look soooo nice I almost hate to put them on my car
I'll be installing them before the week is up. The welds look awesome and the powdercoating is top notch...definitely show worthy pieces. Needless to say, I am happy with them and they are not even on my car yet.

Ditto for me and Don installed my SFCs in Bowling Green recently. It took about an hour.

The convertibles are easy to install especially if you leave them on the ground

For those of you who are still wondering about these SFC's, I have possibly the ultimate compliment. Today we were going up to see our son so I decided to be a nice guy and let my wife drive. This was the first time she had driven it since I installed the SFC's. As you leave our village there is about a mile of really twisty road on the way to the autobahn. As she was going down the hill she said, "Wow, this car really drives better now." After we got on the autobahn and she had driven a ways, she asked why I didn't get them sooner. That should give you a good idea how much difference they make. I might also add that just adding the SFC's dropped my quarter-mile times by about 3 tenths. They are great.

I just ordered a set for my 99SS. Don, you'll have an email from me and probably by Friday you'll have the money order from my bank. The way the weather is going, I'll probably have to wait till spring to try them, but I'll put them on as soon as I get them just in case the weather gets nice enough before any serious snow. That's when the car hibernates.

Well as you know the Hoildays are once again upon us. It means that many of us have already placed our precious vehicles within suitable shelters. To others it is the long awaited time of year to modify our vehicles for the coming spring. For those considering D.Goetz Subframe Connectors as their modification now would be the perfect time to secure your set at current pricing and directly from the manufacturer. I have been contacted by several individuals that would like to distribute my products. While ultimately this is very positive it will remove some of the pricing control I currently have. Here's what I have in stock: (1)White Vert,(4)Red Vert,(4)Black Vert,(1)Black Coupe
Those interested may contact me via email. Thank you all, Don
