I heard that GM has a solution to this problem but it's comming out in a service buliten. Anybody hear the same? If so did you get a part number for the replacement?
Thanks,
Joe

Daddy SS, I want to confirm to you that GM did in fact come out with a fix for the problem... Need to call your dealer if you have this problem and notify them of the service bltn.
Good luck,
Joe

I just had the driveshaft replaced in my 2001 SS with the fiberglass insulated one GM offers as a replacement. "tink" is all gone. My mechanic at the dealership did it on his own after he got the new bulletin. Posted by mvs (Member # 135) on :

I am having the same damn problem. The dealership is clueless as well. The one interesting thing is that I have, I think, an Iron or Steel Driveshaft. Does the TSB cover those?

The TSB# 3322 I'm getting mine replaced saturday.... Supposedly it's a fiberglass insulated driveshaft... We'll see how it goes...

Here is what I found when I searched the GM database for a 2000 Camaro driveshaft, but it will not put up the detail on this entry (must be restricted to dealers?)
