how much better is the factory hurst shifter than the stock shifter? i picked up a factory hurst shifter on ebay, and was wondering if it is even worth changing. thanks

Well you are going to hear many different opinions on this so here is mine. The Hurst is better than the stock shifter. If you want to make it much better then add Lou's short stick to it.I have both and I am very pleased with it.

Since I have both in two different Camaro's, I can honestly say the Hurst is a world apart from the stock shifter. Through in the Hurst Six Speed White Shifter Knob and you will be all set.

I would have to agree with Gary. The Hurst with Lou's short stick is a very good combination.

I had the stock factory shifter in my T/A and I added Lou's short stick and it was better. Then I added the B&M Ripper and it was much much better. The SS I am picking up this week has the Hurst, and after driving it, I know I am buying another Ripper!
