Steve just called me to say that the latest car in the Heino Fleet has been delivered.
It's a 1969 Fathom Green RS that Steve put a 502/502 and 6-speed transmission in a few years ago for a friend. The friend called Steve today to tell him he needs to sell it. Seeing how we're bleeding hearts and can't risk seeing this car get into the wrong hands.........we've decided to take it into our home. This will round out the First Generation portion of our fleet. We have '67, '68, and now '69 covered.
We're taking it to the Pacific NW Camaro Club's big show this weekend in Bellevue, Washington, so pics will follow next week.

It's nice to know that one of my vintage "kids" is going to a good home....it warms the cockles of my heart......and such good parents......

Congratulations Teri! I can't wait to the see pics. You have a nice collection going. Hopefully my 69 will join the "restored" classics one of these days. Posted by Hawkeye (Member # 88) on :
You guys are insane - and I love it!!
Enjoy - better make the garage a tad bigger!

... maybe it's a good thing the Camaro is taking as break after 35 years ... your garage just won't be able to hold too many more
Congrats on the purchase ... that's a car I'd want a ride in

That's great Teri!! Do you need another good parent to take it off your hands?? I am serious!

If you're running out of room, you can store it in my garage. I won't even charge you rent. Just make sure you leave the keys. Posted by HTWLSS (Member # 117) on :
All anyone has to do is come visit us in Oregon and you'll get a ride for sure.
The car roasts 'em when shifting to 4th.....just easing the accelerator down, without any effort!
At least I get to drive the SS more now that Steve is distracted by a new toy.
The F-bodfather will have to bless it when he visits in September.

Remember a couple or few years ago when Steve was putting in that 502/502 and 6-speed for a friend? It's the same one and Steve got first dibs on it. We made our friend save the original block and trans for it. It can be put back to a numbers matching car quite easily (or so Steve says - it's easy for HIM).

Yeah, I thought that was the one Steve and I discussed a while back. That's having your cake and...
I thought about playing with my 69 in similar ways but I just can't get motivated to take it apart; it ain't right!
But thinking a bit further down the road, it might however, be a different sales ploy if I decide TO move it; "...hey man, I know where the ORIGINAL engine is and hooked to an M22!!!!"
