Seems our secret project die-cast SSOA car has been announced on several die-cast dealer sites before we could announce it to you all.
FYI: This is a very limited run of approximately 2000 cars. We will have approximately 500 of these cars available to SSOA members at the Bowling Green, KY 2003 event in September.
Since the piece is currently in production, we won't have a final price until they ship to us, but it will be less than what Welly's die-cast distributors are offering for the remainder of the run.
I'll post pictures of it and pre-ordering info, soon. If you could order from the SSOA, we will have a special addition on ours that will distinguish it from the others.

I have to say... to the group.. Teri and Steve especially.. and other Directors like Jason Debler's input have made this possible.. this has been something they worked hard and put many hours of work into to make it happen.

My appreciation goes out to the SSOA Directors for their help in designing this die-cast. This is a first-time, special project that the people at Welly are excited to produce. We've worked many, many months on this. If it goes over well, there may be another version of it in the future.
Now, if we could only make a life-sized replica of the die-cast for the Bowling Green event.......

Ah, our graphics man checks in!
A big thank you goes to Sweden SS for creating the files for our die-cast door graphics. This has been an International effort. Without his help, we wouldn't have met Welly's production schedule this summer.

I didn't say a word to anyone.....my lips were sealed!
You all did a great job on this.
I know you didn't say anything. It was Welly. They "forgot" about our requests to keep it quiet until we were able to give our members first shot at the batch we're buying. They announced the item to their distributors prematurely. Oh well. They tell me nearly all of the run is spoken for, so once the distributors run out, they'll only be available from the SSOA directly. I plan on having most of them available at the Bowling Green, KY event in September, so SSOA participants at that event will be able to get them at a member's only rate that weekend, and not have to pay for shipping.

I don't care how I need to get mine, I want to buy one, but I'd RATHER buy it from the SSOA themselves. Maybe you can offer some "signature editions" for auction too at BG, perhaps?

Yes, you will be able to get one from us if they don't sell out in B.G.

We're planning on bringing enough to fulfill the pre-orders (info on that coming soon) and some extras for on the spot demand. The total that the SSOA could afford out of the 2000 piece run is 504 pieces, plus set up charges, plus customization fees, plus truck freight. Our goal is to break even.
What's great is, our now famous designer of the piece, Director Jason Debler, has offered to personally autograph them for everyone! Posts: 7198 | From: Near Portland, Oregon, USA | Registered: Feb 2000

No, but we're looking for a volunteer, who is going to the F-car event in Bowling Green in September, to add our graphics to their white SS.

Currently talking with my husband about making the SS a 'volunteer'. I may have enough vacation time available by then. Will keep ya posted! Posts: 290 | From: Utah | Registered: Mar 2003

Feel free to private message me or email me if you want to discuss it. If it looks like you will be able to go, we can talk it over with the other Directors.
