I've installed a fire extinguisher and first aid kit to the SS. I didn't want to drill holes, so I used adhesive-backed velcro. It seems to be holding.
Now all you need is an extending ladder and you could rescue Kitties! Looks good! Posted by SS r Us (Member # 773) on :
Looks good John. I was just checking out some of the pictures of your SS. You've done a really nice job on it, and I love the stripes.
I was thinking about the fire extinguisher. In the event of an accident, do you think it could become a projectile? I don't blame you for not wanting to drill holes, but it might be something to consider.

Very nice...now you must add same to the 1:18 version...can't wait to hear how you are going to make the little tiny first aid kit! Posted by ss_rs_z (Member # 1888) on :
Pictures were unavailable for me so I will check back a little later. With everyones opinions here everything sounds groovy.

I was thinking the same thing, when I was mounting the extinquisher, but it should be okay. The extinquisher is mounted in a bracket (used for wall mounting) and I've got the bracket mounted to the SS side panel with heavy duty velcro. It takes quite a bit of force to remove extinquisher, and being in the trunk it's isolated from the passenger area.

I won a nice fire extinguisher as a door prize at last years Camaro Mania Show at Tom Henry Chevrolet.I just keep it in the trunk.
