My buddy out here in California is looking for a ls1 engine for his old hot rod he is buying next week. He is looking at around 5000, and would like included: a long block, wireing harness, automatic tranny, and all the accessories(power steering pump, alternator, things like that) If there are any leads out there, let me know. I told him to be weary of ebay, because on something that expensive, I would rather have a better source than a person that I dont know, who lives across the country. Here I know that everyone here is friendly, and not looking to just make a buck.

When my GMC truck is out of warranty,I too will be looking for an LS1 to install in it. Then I will change the side emblems on the truck from "SLS" to "LS1"! I plan on getting a running wrecked Camaro for the donor parts.

There is a vendor on ebay called fparts...it is a junkyard in PA that specializes in f body and corvette parts including engines, they seem pretty good (good selection and ratings) ... good luck!
