Thought I would share with you the pictures of my HMMWV after we were ambushed on 12 Aug 2003. Two weeks in the hospital and an F-BOD later, I'm very much alive and thankful for it.
For those of you who aren't familiar with my incident, the vehicle, which I was riding in, came under attack in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. There were three roadside bombs that were detonated as we passed by.
I am thankful you are with us!

Knowing what you've gone through makes our everyday problems seem very small.
Glad you came out of it okay.

Glad you are OK. A friend of mine was recently hurt from shrapnel in the arm when a mortar hit just outside his hotel room in Iraq. He is OK though.

You were lucky. We are having a memorial service here on Monday for one of my former soldiers who was killed in Iraq a couple of weeks ago. She just graduated from DLI two months ago. She was an outstanding soldier. Posted by 35TH ED/ed (Member # 1709) on :

Hoochy Mamma, glad you're all right. Could have been much worse. Thank you and all that served for what you've sacrificed.

Cheif, Glad you back in the world. I hope the rest of your patrol was as lucky as you were.
Remember, if your feeling down just hop in your TH-SS and forget the world!
I was lucky, I spent 20 years in the USAF and though I was deployed a couple of times I was never realy in harms way.
