Well, I have been trying to get my tips (CME) back on since my purchase of a GMMG exhaust. Couldn't turn that deal down at Bowling Green.
So after beaking them in half, having them welded wrong, then cutting then apart and making a template to weld correctly, they were at least ready to be put back on. After SLP sent me two sections of 90deg pipe, which took 2 weeks , I drove it down to my muffler shop and had them put back on this afternoon. Looks great and work out like I wanted. I even polished them up while I was waiting all this time. Will try to post some pics. God, I love that sound

The CME tips gives the exhaust a distinctive tone I think. Even after H/C, LT's and LM I could still detect the CME tone.
Mine had to be welded as well, and it's a little off, but not enough to bother me......yet. Posted by Brian's 01 SS (Member # 1499) on :
Yes I agree, there is a difference in the cme sound no matter what type of muffler it has. Must have something to do with the sound waves comming out in the center.
