Ken,
Just wondering.... Has there been any published info as to why the sidewalls split, or crack, at the shoulder junction on B.F. Goodrich KDW tires (275/40-17)? My first set, purchased in 2001, showed signs of splitting before 10,000 miles. The air pressure was always maintained at 35 PSI (as indicated on my SLP door sticker) and the car has always been garaged. I eventually put 35,000 miles on them.
My car now has a fresh set of KDW's that were purchased in one of SLP's wheel/tire deals. Since my SS is now pretty much a "seldom driven/show only" car, I am worried that this new set will split as well.
