last night, I unplugged the Coolant Temp. Sensor and plugged it back in.
I pulled the main harness near the passenger side header as far away from the header as I could and put some high heat adhesive tape on it. Checked and re checked all the wire.
Went for a ride this morning. NO CODES AT ALL!
The idle is smooth, lots of power - go figure!
I'm scratching my head, but in a good way. The only thing I can figure is that heat from the passenger side header was transferring to the wiring harness that leads to the PCM. Just moving it 1/4" may have helped. Keeping my fingers crossed till I can get it to a pro shop for fine tuning! Posted by Xsta Z 28 (Member # 740) on :

Maybe just a bad connection at the sensor. The heat around the harness would not have caused that. Posted by ss_rs_z (Member # 1888) on :
Glad to hear Brian and hope its all cleared up. Posted by DaddySS (Member # 848) on :
Excellent news! Fighting codes and problems after a mod is no fun, glad it worked out.

I'm taking my SS to Detroit SpeedWorks to get tuned May 3rd Brian. I'll let you know how it went and how I felt they were with my SS.
