The ABS INOP light on my Camaro came on today. The brakes seemed to work fine, but the light was on. When I drove the car later on, the light was not on. I have a feeling it has something to do with the car not being driven in a while(haven't driven it much with a 5 month old). Anybody have a simalar experience?

The only time mine did that was after a dyno run. The computer got messed up with the back wheels moving and the fronts not! After a few blocks it re-set and was fine.
Try a panic stop (in a safe place) and see if it works!

Believe it or not... a intermittent concern with the Opti-Spark can cause this ABS inop light to be on. I had that concern with my 30th Anniversary Z28 when I was having an intermittent Opti-Spark concern.

So, did you end up having to replace your opti spark?

I never actually replaced the Opti-Spark. The problem just started right before I was selling the car. I just cleared out the codes by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It was very intermittent and the car still started and ran well. The codes were for the ignition module and that caused the ABS Inop light to illuminate. Even the GM shop manual pin point test description for the code mentioned the ABS Inop light would be on.
