This may have been brought up before, but couldn't find it... If anyone with a Bilstein suspension convertible switched to Eibach pro-kit springs, what was the front/rear ride height change?? (I'm particularly interested in the front) Many have noted (myself included) that the front wheel well height on a bilstein equipped convertible is a tad too high. The rear sits fine, ...but I'd like the front to be about 1" lower. I believe this can be accomplished with the prokit springs(ie 1.2" drop).
I'm specifically interested in those with convertibles with the Bilstein that may have switched since there is a height difference with the Bilstein on a coupe vs. convertible. (vert rear sits lower) At least my car is like this and a couple others I've seen are the same.
Thanks, Kevin

Here is some input, I have Decarbon equipped vert and T-top Z28. My vert sets lower in the back and higher in the front than T-top Z. Hope this helps, Victor

My springs and shocks are going in this spring. I plan on cutting off half a coil on the front and hope that it evens things out.

...Thanks for the replies, slowSS, ... I didn't want to cut the springs, but I've heard that 3/4 of a coil does do the trick.

3/4 of a coil is TOO much! IMHO. 1/2 max. That is what I did.
Convertible's probably ride a little lower in the back due to the top weight, not thta it is much, but the vert is heavier in back the a T-Top.
Which leads me to another though. Engineers design these things, did they take into account that a covertible is heavier that a t-top when designing the springs? If that was so, the springs in a rag top should be different than a t-top. Just a thought.

Yep took 1/2 turn off and no problems. Didn't want to but little choice.
