Nope. I knew what I wanted and that's what I got. Even after all of the hell I went through to get it, I wouldn't change a thing. The process was painful and expensive, but I have a great car and a great story.

I wouldn't have sold my 97 Hendirck SS to buy a 01 vette!! Eventually traded the vette for the Firehawk and I love it too, but there was just something about that Hendrick!!

Well I would of bought a new Camaro instead of the truck I bought and then traded to get the 99 Z28 I bought used . All in all I made out cause I ened up with a 00 SS also used . It would of been nice to order what i wanted but I am happy with the used cars and I got 2 for what 1 SS would of cost me , guess i cant complain .

Would have ordered the Intimidator SS over the Hawk in a second. Found out about the Intimidators right after GM accepted the order for the Hawk.

Yes I got just what I wanted as I knew I would keep this one along time. Try and not make this to long but this is the 3rd SLP full opt 4th gen SS we have had.I had a 98 SS vert with all SLP opts white on white with white leather the only all white inside and out vert with all opts built and M6 and going to shows with it alot Fbodfather was always after my wife to get her a camaro to drive instead of her Z/24 well at a show in late 2000 he came up to her and showed her a color card and wanted to know what she thought of the new color and she liked it so he told her that if she would order one when she got home he would look after it being built for her and she agreed. She picked the colors and I got to spec out the car. It was ordered Sunset Orange with neutral top and neutral leather and all GM opts and every last one of the slp opts for a total of $43,000 and some change. When the car came in in Feb of 2001 we liked it so good I called Scott up and ask him if they could build a twin to it in every detail on both build sheets and he said to wait and get a 35th as I would only have to wait another couple months and I ask him if I could get all SLP opts on the 35th and he said no so I said build me the twin. They ended up being the only 2 truely built twins in those colors and opts loaded. So yes I got exactly what I wanted thanks to Scott and to a couple of friends at SLP for really looking after the 2 cars for us

We ordered our LE the way we wanted it, including the SLP options. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't change anything.
When we ordered our SS in October 2001, the dealer wasn't sure if he could get an LE. Our second choice would have been Sunset Orange with ebony interior, black top, chrome five spokes and all the same GM/SLP options. Even though we require front plates in Ontario, I would have also added the SS grille.

Another Firebird guy here...I had been researching Hawks for about a year before I ordered mine. I ordered it prior to 9/11, when interest rates were still high. I was stretching to get the options I did...and wasnt even sure I would be able to afford it when it came in. Knowing that, I left of the Bilstein option. All the 0% financing broke loose about two weeks before it arrived, and I could have easily afforded the bilstein. It is the one thing I wish I had ordered but didnt. Other than that wouldnt have changed anything...just glad I got a Hawk before they quit making them!

I know this sounds rather stupid, but I think it was "fate" or rather a blessing that we found the car.
First going through what we did with the '99 cloned Z28, them coming to get take it back , then finding the '00 SS that wasn't so well taken care of , only to have the dealer selling that '00 to have bought our '02 that day and we wind up with it three days later (notice the rollercoaster?)...EXACTLY what Missi wanted.
