Any of you other 'vert guys have threads on your top that are torn? I have a few-especially in the back. It's garage kept now, so I hope it won't get too much worse. BTW, how much do new tops cost, and approximately how much for installation? Is this something that I could do?

Just read your post. I have the same problem with my 98 (still in factory warranty) that I am talking to the dealer about. These tops should last a lot longer than they do. The seams on the side are stating to do the same.

Yup, same here....there were several problems with our top at delivery, but there isn't a dealership around here that knows what to do with a white convertible top. It wasn't worth the risk of damage or a poor re-installation of a new top, so we're just going to live with it and eat the cost of a new one somewhere down the road.
